Letting us know in advance

Please let us know about your special needs before you come into the hospital. We can tell staff and have everything ready so your stay at Royal Brompton Hospital or Harefield Hospital is as comfortable as possible.

Wheelchair access

Royal Brompton Hospital

There is wheelchair access to our Sydney wing building using the main Sydney Street entrance and to our Fulham wing via Dovehouse Street.

There is no wheelchair access from Dovehouse Street to our Chelsea wing.

Harefield Hospital

Wheelchair access is available at Harefield Hospital through the main entrance. All patient areas are accessible by wheelchair.

Hearing loop

Hearing loops are available in most parts of both Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals.

Various other communication aids are available. Please ask on your ward or at your appointment.

Parking with a blue badge

The royal borough of Kensington and Chelsea is making parking for blue badge holders easier so that you can park for longer without needing to top up your payment again. Find out more about the blue badge scheme.

Changing Places toilets

Changing Places toilets are specially equipped for people with significant learning and physical disabilities, and their carers, to use safely and with dignity.
