Paediatric outpatients

Our paediatric outpatient department specialises in the care of children, from birth to 16, who have cardiac (heart) and respiratory (lung) conditions.

About the department

We have a paediatric outpatient department at both Royal Brompton Hospital and Harefield Hospital.

Our clinics take a multidisciplinary approach involving care from different members of a clinical team. Our clinics cover children's cardiac, respiratory, and inherited cardiac conditions. They also cover rehabilitation and therapies, including speech and language, physiotherapy, and dietetics.

Paediatric inpatient care is provided at Royal Brompton Hospital.

Referrals

The paediatric department is a tertiary referral centre for children with cardiac and respiratory disease. Referrals are mainly accepted from district general and teaching hospitals in north-west London and Hertfordshire, although children from abroad can also be referred and treated privately at the hospital.
