School hours
The school day runs from 10am-12 noon, and 1.30pm- 3.30pm.
We are lucky to have our own school, the Chelsea Community Hospital School, on the same floor as the wards.
There are two full-time teachers and a learning assistant, and we can provide education for infant, primary and secondary years.
We even have specialist teachers in drama, art, music, technology and modern languages - so you may learn more than you expect when you come to us.
The school is registered as an examination centre and follows the National Curriculum. It will work closely with your own school, particularly if you are studying for exams.
Your parents are welcome to attend lessons at any time and there are regular workshops and outings - we will make sure you are well enough to go out on those.
Well at school
Chelsea Community Hospital School has created a site called Well at school, which is designed to support children and young people who have medical and mental conditions while they're at school and has lots of useful information and videos.
