Information for healthcare professionals

We pride ourselves on the quality and skills of our echocardiography team. Our commitment is to deliver the best possible service and care to our patients.

Investigations available at the department of echocardiography:

Royal Brompton Hospital has comprehensive non-invasive cardiac imaging services, including nuclear medicineCT scanning and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging.

We aim to provide a comprehensive, efficient service committed to excellence for our patients. To facilitate this we have dedicated sessions specifically for the type of echo required, with pre-booked appointment times. To assist us in providing the best possible service to our patients, we ask that you provide as much relevant clinical information as possible.

If there is a particular concern regarding a patient's echo, or if an echo is required urgently, please visit the department to discuss this with our echocardiographers. As far as possible, we will try to facilitate these requests. Once a patient has an echo, the report is accessible online shortly afterwards. If there is anything you would like to discuss regarding the report, please contact any of our echocardiography specialists.
