Pregnancy and heart disease centre

The pregnancy and heart disease high risk service

The aim of the pregnancy and heart disease high-risk service is to provide a gold standard care to enable women with pre-existing cardiac conditions, or a cardiac condition which arise during pregnancy, to achieve a successful pregnancy and birth.

This is a specialist multi-disciplinary clinic led by consultant cardiologists and obstetricians.

The service provides pre-pregnancy advice and pregnancy care for patients with congenital heart disease, acquired heart disease and inherited cardiac conditions.

The service is provided jointly with the high-risk maternity team from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital
