Legal and regulatory requirements for the removal, storage and use of human tissue

Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust holds Human Tissue Authority (HTA) licences in four sectors:

  • research
  • post-mortem
  • human application (i.e. tissues and cells for patient treatment)
  • organ donation and transplant
