Ultrasound Vascular Access Workshop

Who is it for?

This workshop is for all clinicians interested in ultrasound guided insertion of peripheral, central and arterial lines. 

Course overview

This is a hands on, practical course. Delegates will learn:

  • Ultrasound physics and buttonology.
  • Tracking the needle tip using ultrasound.
  • Sterile pack preparation, donning and doffing sterile PPE.
  • The Seldinger technique, vessel dilation and guidewire control.
  • US guided vascular access practice.
  • Suturing a vascular line.
  • Radiological interpretation and complications.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
