Service development

The service development directorate is responsible for liaison with commissioners and other partner organisations.

Through this process, we make sure that our strategy and interests are represented fully to other organisations, such as clinical commissioning groups. We also hold a number of specialised service agreements, which cover cardiothoracic transplants and implantable devices, such as ventricular assist devices and implantable cardiac defibrillators.

The directorate is responsible for developing business marketing services to commissioners to ensure our strategic aims are secure. The directorate also works with other directorates to develop plans to ensure that national initiatives are fulfilled, and that national service framework standards are met and maintained.
