The nursing development team is committed to developing your career and the quality of care of you provide. They lead and manage key national projects across the Trust including: The Essence of Care Benchmarks, which cover a range of topics including food and nutrition, pressure ulcers and privacy and dignity, the preceptorship programme for newly qualified nursing staff, and Releasing Time to Care – the Productive Ward.
In addition to these larger projects, we also respond to local Trust requirements including:

Teaching within the clinical areas on a variety of subjects

Writing and reviewing policies related to nursing

Facilitating the advanced nursing team (ANT) meetings and the ANT reporting system

Providing support and advice for individuals as / when required on a number of issues

Providing support and mentorship for those with changing or expanding roles
The nursing development team works closely with the research in nursing team and the clinical education and training team.
