Biography

Professor Saeed Mirsadraee is a consultant cardiothoracic radiologist at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals and Professor of Practice in cardiovascular imaging at Imperial College London. 

Professor Mirsadraee undertook his postgraduate training in cardiothoracic surgery and radiology in Leeds, UK. He worked as a cardiac radiologist at the University of Edinburgh and joined Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals in 2010. He is widely recognised for his leadership in cardiovascular imaging, particularly in the use of CT for aortic and valvular disease assessment.

Clinical expertise

Professor Mirsadraee specialises in advanced cardiovascular CT, with a clinical focus on imaging of the aorta, coronary arteries, cardiac valves, and imaging for transcatheter valve implantation and minimal access cardiac surgery procedures. 

Research interests

Professor Mirsadraee’s current research focuses on aortic and structural heart imaging using computational flow modelling and artificial intelligence. His work includes modelling of haemodynamics in aortic dissection, LV remodelling after valve implantation, and development of predictive tools for treatment planning. He leads multidisciplinary collaborations across UK universities and industry partners.
