Biography
Dr Laura Vazquez graduated in Spain in 2007, where she subsequently specialised in paediatrics. She has been working in paediatric cardiology since 2012, mainly in London, and specialised in fetal cardiology at SickKids, Toronto. In 2019 she returned to Royal Brompton Hospital as consultant in fetal and paediatric cardiology, and since 2024 has also been practicing at Evelina London Children's Hospital.
Dr Vazquez's fetal cardiology clinics are mainly held in the fetal medicine unit at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital. She sees a high volume of complex patients and works very closely with the maternal-fetal medicine and neonatal teams.
Teaching
Dr Vazquez is highly involved in teaching and regularly trains fetal medicine doctors and sonographers in her clinics. She lectures as aninvited speaker at national and international teaching courses, webinars and conferences.
