Biography
Dr Emily Bartlett has been a consultant thoracic radiologist at Royal Brompton Hospital since 2022.
Dr Bartlett studied at Oxford University, before undertaking a medical degree at King’s College London, graduating in 2010. She undertook radiology training at King’s College Hospital and subsequently completed a three-year fellowship in thoracic imaging at the Royal Brompton Hospital, gaining advanced experience in thoracic imaging and image-guided intervention. During this time she undertook a PhD at Imperial College London investigating lung cancer screening implementation.
Dr Bartlett is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial college London.
Areas of expertise
Dr Bartlett is a consultant radiologist who specialises in treating lung cancer and metastatic lung disease. Her areas of clinical expertise include:
- HRCT imaging of the lungs
- Lung cancer imaging and nodule management
- Image guided intervention, including CT guided biopsy and thermal (microwave and cryoablation) and fiducial marker placement
Research interests
Dr Bartlett's research interests include:
- Lung cancer
- Lung cancer screening
- Lung nodule management
- Image-guided thermal ablation
Publications
Dr Bartlett has numerous peer-reviewed publications in the field of thoracic imaging, particularly in relation to lung cancer and nodule management. She is regularly invited to lecture at international and national meetings. She is the Radiology Section Editor for the journal Lung Cancer.
