Lung surgery is carried out at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital for a variety of conditions, ranging from emphysema and lung cancer to biopsies. Surgery can involve:
- operating on a cancer, depending on where the cancer is situated
- removing some parts of the lung or the whole lung itself
- removing lymph nodes
Your doctor will be able to discuss your condition further and what kind of surgery you may need.
