This one-day interactive course aims to address competency training of multidisciplinary teams caring for patients with tracheostomy, laryngectomy and thoracic airway stents. This multi-disciplinary initiative is facilitated by the critical care department, respiratory medicine and anaesthesia; it is based on the National Tracheostomy Safety Project recommendations for clinical standards of practice with emergency algorithms.

Course objectives
Topics covered will enable all participants to increase their understanding of needs of patients with altered airway and gain confidence in managing an emergency, through introductory lectures, small group stations and immersive simulation.
Refund policy
A full refund will be given if cancellation occurs more than four weeks prior to the course start date. A 50 percent refund will be given if cancellation occurs between two and four weeks prior to the course start date.
