1 November 2016
The 10th annual research poster event for allied health professionals (AHPs), health care scientists (HCSs) and nurses will be held on 8 November 2016, in the Concert Hall at Harefield Hospital.
Poster presentations displaying research undertaken by our talented team of AHPs, HCSs and nurses covering heart, lung and paediatric research themes will be on display from 12:00pm. Oral presentations will be given by selected members of staff from each theme and will begin at 1:00pm.
This year’s keynote lecture will be delivered by Dr Christopher Bowles, artificial heart specialist, who will talk about aspects of his research career.
Prizes and certificates will be presented at the end of the event.
Dr Isabel Skypala, chair of the AHP, HCS and research nurse committee adds: “This event promises to showcase high-quality research. We have had the highest number of abstract submissions in the history of this event; this not only illustrates the increase in its popularity, but more importantly the increase in the number of research-active staff within the Trust.”
All staff are invited to come along to find out more about our research across the Trust. This free event will be of particular interest to anyone new to research. It will also be an excellent platform to discuss research ideas and forge new collaborative relationships. We hope you are able to attend and show your support.
