Research Question
Our principle objective is to create a validated questionnaire that can be used to assess the health related quality of life in patients with Interstitial Lung diseases and sarcoidosis. These questionnaires can also be used to determine the effectiveness of current and new proposed treatment modalities. Secondary Research Objectives: To determine the relationship of the questionnaires with physiological measures such as respiratory drive, the six minute walk test, cough severity (using capsaicin challenges, cough monitor, and the cough quality of life questionnaires). The latter tests would only be used if appropriate in normal patient care and not as a research tool.
