COPD patient gives talk at world’s largest respiratory conference

Eddie Judd - COPD patient
ERS conference 2015

Eddie Judd, a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patient actively involved in the research programme of Dr Omar Usmani at the National Heart & Lung Institute and Royal Brompton Hospital, was invited by the world’s largest respiratory conference (European Respiratory Society) to give a talk on 'Living with Inhalers’ in Amsterdam in September 2015.

Eddie, who was invited to speak by the European Lung Foundation, gave an inspiring presentation on how inhalers have changed his life, but also the difficulties faced with using inhalers in his everyday life. Dr Usmani, chair of the session, said that Eddie gave an engaging presentation, which highlighted the patients’ perspective on future research needs in developing the next generation of inhalers for the management of respiratory diseases.
