Clinical research facility 

The clinical research facility (CRF) is a dedicated unit in the Respiratory BRU for translational research. The unit provides a high-quality clinical environment with state of the art facilities and experienced nursing to support research studies. Investigators are allowed to use their own clinical nursing team to run their study within the CRF.

 

The unit offers:

  • Four adult inpatient beds with overnight staffing

  • Seven adult outpatient consulting rooms

  • Four inhalation adult cubicles for allergen challenge and delivery of GM materials

  • One paediatric outpatient consulting room

  • One paediatric cubicle for allergen challenge and delivery of GM materials

  • Children’s play room and adolescent waiting area.

  • 24-hour cover Monday to Friday with additional weekend availability negotiable with the CRF manager

  • Education centre
