Both Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals have a long history of pioneering work in the treatment of, and research into, heart and lung disease.
In this edition of Case Notes we feature some new initiatives that we hope will interest you. Amongst these services is the opening of our new Women's Heart Risk Clinic.
Heart disease in women does not receive the same public exposure as other illnesses such as breast cancer, despite heart disease being the largest killer of women in western Europe. Our new clinic, led by cardiac trained nurses and specialist consultants, will detect any early signs of heart disease and, we hope, raise the profile of this important issue.
Thank you to those who gave so much positive feedback on our first edition of Case Notes. We always welcome feedback on any aspect of our service.
