Harefield patients’ library is a service provided by the chaplaincy department.
The library is run by a team of volunteers, who visit wards B, C, ACCU and F West on Wednesdays between 2pm and 4pm with a jam-packed trolley of books covering all topics.
Donations
If you would like to contribute books to the library, please give them to the chaplain in the rehab and therapies department on Tuesdays and Thursdays or contact her on extension 6533.
We are looking for:
-
New or as-new books (because they must be easy to clean thoroughly)
-
Topics/themes including poetry, art, pictures, anthologies, humour, short stories… the sort of book you would love to dip into when you are feeling poorly
-
Books that are reasonably small-medium in size and weight so they’re easy to hold
As we don't have a huge team to clean and sort new donations, donations of no more than a dozen at a time are ideal.
Many thanks.
