Occupational lung disease

The occupational lung disease department is part of the asthma and allergy care group at Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust.

The occupational lung disease department is:

  • the longest-established unit for the investigation of occupational asthma and other lung diseases in Europe with over 20 years’ experience
  • the busiest occupational lung disease clinic in the UK
  • one of the only clinics in the UK to carry out specific occupational inhalation challenge testing.

We also run a specialist laboratory service and a research and training programme within the department of occupational and environmental medicine at Imperial College London.

We aspire to be the UK’s leading specialist centre for the investigation, management and prevention of occupational and environmental lung diseases.
