Children

When you are young, you may feel a little nervous about coming into hospital. This web page has been written by nurses and doctors to help you understand what we do.  That way you will know what to expect.

If you have more questions, then you or your parents can ring us to get the answers. If you have any more questions about the procedures in hospital you can contact our cardiac specialists nurses at 020 7349 7727 or our respiratory specialist nurses at 020 7351 8714.

It is probably a good idea to read this information with your parents. That way they will also know what to expect and they will be able to talk to your doctors and nurses about anything that is worrying you.

If you think of any questions while reading these pages then do talk about them with your parents. You can also ask us when you come in to the hospital. Our doctors and nurses will be happy to try to answer any questions you may have. Do feel free to ask us anything at all.

Read about the Safe and Sustainable review of children's cardiac services in England and its impact on services at Royal Brompton.
