Media centre

We work closely with our specialist staff and a wide range of regional and national broadcast, print and digital media to showcase our ground-breaking work and latest innovations in heart and lung treatments.

Please direct all media enquiries, including filming requests, to the communications team. They can arrange interviews and provide background information and comment.

As well as the conditions we treat across our hospitals, we can help find experts to provide comment on a wide variety of public health issues related to our work, including: air pollution, alcohol, cholesterol, advice around allergies and sleep, smoking, vaping and the very latest advancement in medical technology that supports people with respiratory and cardiac conditions.

If you are interested in finding out more about our work, speaking to patients with conditions we treat, have a specific enquiry or would like to film or take photographs in our hospitals, please email the communications team.

The Trust takes patient confidentiality very seriously and will only allow filming onsite on the condition that it does not interfere with the quality of care delivered to patients.

It is Trust policy for a member of the communications team to be present at all times when filming and photography is taking place. Please also note that it is unusual for filming or photography to be permitted on site if it does not refer specifically to the work of the Trust.

Out-of-hours and weekends

Outside office hours, a member of the team can be contacted via the hospitals' switchboards on 020 7352 8121 (Royal Brompton Hospital) or 01895 823 737 (Harefield).
