League of Friends - Royal Brompton Hospital

The League of Friends is an independent charity that raises funds for projects around the hospital. It is staffed entirely by volunteers and, as well as raising funds, runs various services in the hospital.

The Friends raise funds through receptions and events across London - in the past they have hosted events at the House of Lords and Westminster Abbey. They welcome fundraising ideas from non-members, so if you are a patient or relative with a suggestion for an activity or event then please do get in touch.

The Friends also welcome volunteers to help run their services at Royal Brompton. They run the on-site florist shop Brompton Flowers and a newsagent's in the Fulham Road wing. They also run a trolley service, going straight to patients' bedsides, in the Fulham Road wing.

The Friends have been supporting the hospital's work since the 1960s and some volunteers have given time to them throughout the intervening decades.

Children's cardiac surgery services
