Biography
Dr Goodall trained in anaesthesia with a specialist interest in pain medicine at Imperial Anaesthetic School. He has been a consultant at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for the past 15 years and the clinical lead for pain medicine for six years.
Areas of expertise
Dr Goodall specialises in pain medicine including neuropathic and musculoskeletal pain, as well as the management of chronic post-surgical pain. He also provides a neuromodulation service (spinal cord stimulation) via Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He has worked extensively in the development of strong, multidisciplinary team care to achieve a biopsychosocial management approach to patient care.
Teaching and memberships
Dr Goodall is the chair of the London Pain Training Advisory Group within the London Deanery (Health Education England) and the training programme director for pain medicine in North London. He is also actively involved in the training of advanced pain trainees and regularly talks on both national and international meetings about the treatments of persistent chronic pain.
