The Trust is keen to ensure that all our patients receive the best possible care.

It is often helpful to know in advance if a patient has special needs so we can be prepared and ensure that there is as little disruption as possible to the patient.

Wheelchair access

Royal Brompton Hospital

There is wheelchair access to our Sydney wing building using the main Sydney Street entrance and to our Fulham wing via Dovehouse Street.

There is no wheelchair access from Dovehouse Street to our Chelsea wing.

Harefield Hospital

Wheelchair access is available at Harefield Hospital through the main entrance. All patient areas are accessible by wheelchair.

Hearing loop

Hearing loops are available in most parts of both Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals.

Various other communication aids are available. Please ask on your ward or at your appointment.

Let us know in advance

Please let us know about your special needs before you come into the hospital so that we can tell staff and have things ready so that we can make your stay at Royal Brompton or Harefield Hospital is as comfortable as possible.
