PART TWO: The classes of information

We have grouped the classes of information into seven categories:

1.   Who we are and what we do

2.   What we spend and how we spend it, including procurement costs

3.   What are our priorities and how are we doing

4.   How we make decisions

5.   Our policies and procedures

6.   List and registers

7.   The services we offer

Information in each class will be available from our website or as a printed copy. The publications are all free unless otherwise indicated. If we intend to charge for information we will tell you. We aim to provide the information you need within 20 working days. If this is not possible we will explain why.

Any document available on our website, transmitted electronically or provided on CD ROM or Floppy disk will be provided as a .pdf file. This means you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view it. Please visit the Adobe website to download a copy. The Trust cannot accept any responsibility for any problems encountered in the access, download and use of this software.

The Trust’s commitment to publish information excludes any information that can legitimately be withheld under the exemptions set out in the Code of Practice on Openness or the Freedom of Information Act. Where individual classes are subject to exemptions, the main reasons relate to the protection of commercial interests and personal information under the Data Protection Act 1998. This applies to most classes within the Publication Scheme.

Charges for information

No charges will be made to individual enquirers about services or treatment available to them, nor will the press and other media, MPs, local authorities and representative groups be charged for information given to them except where, under the Freedon of Information Act the request exceeds the reasonable limit.

The following information will also be available free of charge to other enquirers;

  • Information on the Trust website

  • Leaflets and brochures
