Our workshop leader Maya Waldman, is an experienced community musician. She has worked on a variety of projects with a wide range of groups, spanning from music groups for early years to singing groups for homeless people. She runs two thriving community choirs in London open to adults of all ages and abilities and has experience working within health settings, this includes running Womb Song,a new singing in pregnancy project run by Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Maya is a natural voice practitioner and has trained with Royal Academy of Music voice teacher Howard Milner. She brings her understanding of breath, body and the healing vibration of music to the voice work she does with patients at the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital.

Singing for Breathing is funded entirely through charitable donations.  The first tranche of work was funded by a 2008 concert held in memory of the late Ian Adam, organised by Peter French.  If you would like to help support this project with a donation please contact the arts team (below).
