rb&hArts is devoted to bringing the wide spectrum of the arts to patients, staff and visitors to the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust.

The arts programme is designed to improve the well being of patients, staff and the diverse communities we serve.

By using new, as well as traditional art forms we aim to develop new ways of thinking about the arts in health.

Some staff and patient comments on the arts programme:

"Just to say how much I enjoyed the exhibition...especially at a fraught time, with my daughter in the Royal Brompton for an operation. Seeing the beautiful works on the way in sent me up to the ward in an optimistic mood each day"

"It was amazing to watch the faces of the children and their parents. The joy this music brought them was incredible; their faces just lit up and they became animated and were asking questions, where moments before they had been withdrawn and incommunicative. If I hadnt seen this response myself, I would have found it hard to believe."
